Jewellers rarely collaborate.
The work is usually too personal for that. Too obsessive. Too solitary.
But over the last few years, Polly Wales and Castro Smith began passing pieces back and forth across oceans, workshops, sketches, and voice notes. What started as mutual admiration slowly became a collection of sixteen one-of-a-kind pieces shaped by instinct, experimentation, trust, and complete creative freedom.
Polly built landscapes of molten gold and sapphires. Castro carved into the negative space left behind: scorpions, spiderwebs, skulls, butterflies, ants, vipers, flowers, wings. Small hidden worlds sealed inside the metal like fragments of some forgotten mythology.
You’re invited to the first public preview of the collection online, followed by a two-day Castro Smith pop-up at PWFJHQ in Los Angeles.
